Race For Charity 2011

This is a fund raising explorace, aiming at excitement for the challenging games in the explorace other than money raising as donation to the Persatuan Penjagaan Anak-anak Terencat Akal, Saleng during our charity visit on the 26th right after the explorace. The organizer has designed various station oriented games featuring the aspects of mind and physical challenges as well as team work. On the other hand, for those who are int...erested in the charity visit, it's an excursion to a local institution of the people with special needs. We will have contact with them in proximity so that we, as university students, will be able to give them light of hope of getting better lives despite their defects. Maybe we can gain and learn something from them, because i believe that most of them will reflect perseverance in wading through the odds.

FTAAA Cross Country 2011 - Malay Mail and theStar

Kohilan overcomes illness to win

Monday, January 24th, 2011 09:46:00

KUALA LUMPUR: A bout of flu and cough did not prevent Kohilan Veeraragavan from winning the 26th Federal Territory Amateur Athletic Association (FTAAA) Cross-Country at Padang Merbok yesterday.

Kohilan stopped the clock at 34.35s to win the men's junior event. The Seremban lad joined several other runners from his home State Negeri Sembilan as they dominated the men's open and men's junior category.

"I felt sick in the morning. I started to cough and had flu when I woke up," said Kohilan. "The thought of not competing did cross my mind. I thought I would not have been able to give my best but my dad told me to just give it a try.

"It was only after completing my pre-run warm up that I felt better."

In the men's open category, Jenathanan Pannerselvam, from Port Dickson, finished first with a time of 38.22s, followed by former national long distance runner Arul Thever Muniandy (40.01s).

Arul's younger brother, Murali@Arasu Muniandy finished third. In the women's open category, policewoman Noor Amelia Musa came out tops followed by Sheela Samivellu and Goh Li Thing, while the junior category saw Intan Shafinal Rohimi finish first with Nurul Nadira Zaim and Rina Fadhlin Syahmina Abas in second and third respectively.

YOUNGSTER P. Janarthanan stole the show at the Milo-Federal Territory Amateur Athletics Association (FTAAA) Open cross country championships at the Padang Merbok in Kuala Lumpur recently.

The 19-year-old Janarthanan completed the 8.3km distance in an impressive time of 38:22 ahead of former international and veteran road runner M. Arulthevar (40:00) and M. Murali (40:10).

Although Janarthanan crossed the finishing line almost two minutes before Arulthevar, the former said it was a close battle.

FTAAA told to focus on junior development initiatives

By NG WEI LOON
weiloon@thestar.com.my

IT WAS a chance for the Federal Territory Amateur Athletic Association (FTAAA) to showcase the colourful programmes in their 2011 calendar line-up.

Instead, they got a wake-up call when two prominent figures from the sports fraternity hit out at their flaws in setting up their junior development initiatives.

The honest duo were Federal Territories and Urban Wellbeing Ministry deputy-secretary general Datuk Bakaruddin Othman and Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) secretary Datuk Sieh Kok Chi.

Both were apologetic for hurting the feelings of their comrades but they said it had to be done.

A Magnolia Sherbet A Day, Keeps Me Happy and Healthy In Many Ways!

Hunting for Magnolia Sherbet.
It's easy and straight forward, just walk into the Mesra Kedai at Petaling Jaya.

Look for this sign, you will not miss it.
 Yes, it 'Lift your senses'

There are four types of flavour,
1. Marvellous - Mangosteen
2. Luscious - Lychee
3. Delightful - Orange
4. Magnificent - Melon

The fridge is full of SHERBETs!!!
As many as you want

But only managed to find 3 flavours, can't find LYCHEE!
Must be everybody favourite

The staff likes Sherbet too, so he wanted to take a picture with it.

This is my favourite, MARVELLOUS MANGOSTEEN!

How does it look like? Be patient ....

Patient la... is coming....

TENG, TENG, TENG, TENG......

The surface covered with a layer of crystal ice.

It's looks coooooool. Like a piece of art.
Purple Rings look like spining Gasing
So how to eat it? With hand?

Of course not, it comes with a spoon,
hiding behind the cover

Have to eat it in artistic way too.
Start from the middle, follow the purple rings

Slow and steady, to avoid messing up the master piece

Slowly dig in as though as looking for treasure.

Without realising, the Sherbet is disappearing fast...
So, how does it taste?
Only one word 'SPEECHLESS'!
You need to taste it yourselves to feel the 'Yumminess'
A dessert that you definitely deserve after a long hard working day

Only one mouth left, will keep for....

my pet, Coffee! She likes it very much.

Anymore? She asked...

Hmmm, I want some more

Meow.... Are you listening to me?
I want some more...

Usually after swimming,
(I'm coming! Don't finish my Sherbet....)

Running....

and cycling, then mum only allow me to have my favourite ice-cream,
as I need to control my weight

Now with Sherbet which is without the heaviness of a full-dairy ice cream,
I can have it any time I like without feeling guilty.
I still feel as fit as usual.
.

What should I do with the empty container
to avoid it being dump into recycle bin?
To house a fish?
Definately not, it is too small!

But it is perfect to house a plant.
To light up and green up my room!
