The Greatest Run in History - Pole to Pole Run 2011

An incredible trek from the North Pole to the South Pole. Pat Farmer will run tow marathons every day, no days off, for almoust a year, over 13,000 miles through 14 countries i n a race to raise $100 million for the International Red Cross
 Dedicated in helping humanity

Pat is a multiple world record holder for endurance running. He has run around Australia and across North America twice. Pat served 8 years as a Member of Australia’s Parliament, with 3 years as Parliamentary Secretary for Education, Science and Training.

Winner of “Achiever of the Year” (2000), awarded by Prime Minister, John Howard. Pat has raised millions of dollars for causes during his 20-year running career including Lifeline, Cancer Council, and Diabetes Australia.

Stage 1 - Arctic - 760km Ice trek
Stage 2 - Canada to Panama - 11 744km
Stage 3 - Darien Jungle - 250km jungle trek
Stage 4 - South America - 9693km Road run
Stage 5 - Antartica - 900km Ice trek
