At 3:30pm on 7 September 2012, Nike has officially announced that the Nike We Run KL 2012 registration is now CLOSED. No manual registration will be arranged this year.
Below is the statement issued by Nike:
A big thank you to everyone who helped make this our fastest selling race ever. We sold out within 5 hours and 7 minutes! To everyone who registered successfully, we look forward to seeing you at the run on October 13.
To those who couldn't, we appreciate your tremendous effort and as much as we would like to have you be a part of the run this year, our route and venue are restricted to capacity
limits. Violating these limitations would mean compromising the safety and security of the event.
Your tremendous effort of more than 600,000 hits within the first couple of hours caused accessibility issues to the website.
We Run KL 10k is more than just a run. It is our mission to bring inspiration and innovation to every athlete, especially to youths. We Run KL 10k serves as a platform to inspire youths to discover the sport of running and aspire to lead an active lifestyle.
Thank you for all your constructive feedback and suggestions. We value them and will continue to work towards improving the experience.
