This year was better organised than last year. The full marathon route was well designed which runners didn't clash with the half marathon crowd like last year. As the run started at 2.30pm, the environment was cozy and full

The organiser took the runner advice by replacing the strap color with Penang flag color, which is more unique and attractive. Just the gold design full marathon medal was not as attractive as the others medal. The design of the others medal has two tone and more stand out. This year they provide finisher T-shirt but only 1 size, XL to make sure everyone can wear.

Well done & well organised. Only the traffic was quite busy, runners were running on their own risk, even though rela were there to help but driver drive macam kerbau.
The prize presentation was quite late, which lead to less runners waiting for the lucky draw. Suggest next year to put the lucky chip randomly in the cert, those who got it may claim their prize immediately. Like the Seremban half marathon organiser did in their 2009 race. Very efficient, runners need not wait for the draw.

MNS EcoKids Junior Day Camp

Date : Saturday, 5th December 2009

Time : 9.00 a.m. 1.00 p.m.

Location : Malaysian Nature Society Headquarters (Urban Nature Centre), Jalan Kelantan, Kuala Lumpur

Age Group : 5-8 years only

Fee : None! FREE OF CHARGE!

Limited to 30 children on a first come, first registered basis! Priority will be given to MNS members (under family membership, student/junior membership, or children of MNS members)

Please provide names of children, sex, age and membership number.

Participants are required to bring the following items:

1. Own lunch and drink

2. Sunblock

3. Skin-friendly insect repellent (Mosiguard, Off! or Kaps)

4. A picnic mat or flattened cardboard box to sit on.

5. Art Equipment: Old and unwanted toothbrush, old comb (NOT hairbrush!), paint palette / plastic egg carton with compartments that can be used as a palette.

6. Old storybooks and educational toys to be donated to a childrens charity.

I got this comment & photos from a friend.

"The race supposed to start at 7am as stated, but when reached there only found out that it had changed to 7:40am. Unfortunately the race delayed to 8:05am due to the long Taekwondo presentation. It would be nice if the presentation done it while waiting for the confirmation of the final result. The weather was hot and the traffic was busy and lack of control even though police, relay & volunteer were there. Water, sandwich & apple were provided. As this was a charity run to raise fund for MAKNA, shouldn't complaint of the prizes, at least the design and quality of the t-shirt was satisfactory."
