2010 is approaching. While the local running community is looking forward to usher the new year by participating in the One Mile Dash on the eve, I came across some interesting facts about one mile run in the athletic history.
Sir Roger Bannister's Four-Minute Mile was named the Greatest Athletic Achievement by Forbes Magazine. In 1954, he completed the mile in 3 minutes, 59.4 seconds, and not only he trimmed two seconds off the world record, but also run the world's first sub-four-minute mile. " - source Forbes
