Nexus Triathlon 2011

This is the first ever tri event organized by this school, no doubt there are rooms for improvement. During early morning registration already kelam kabut. Only one queue to cater for all participatns, then later split to two queues after much complaint from parents.

By the time the 1st age group U7 started, already 8:45am. Each age group would only start after most of the participants of the previous age group came back from running. No doubt the small age group was competing in short distance, but there still a long waiting time in between. Thing get worse, when age groups U7, U9, U11, U13 finished, there was an hour break for prizes presentation and lucky draw. The organiser should continue to start each age group one after another to speed up the event to avoid unnecessary waiting time.

By the time age group U15 and U17 started swimming together already 11:40am. It was a hot hot sunny burning day, moreover still need to cycle and run. Women and men open group worse, started last with longer distance and the last participant came back at 1:35pm. The prize presentation started immediately and finished at 2pm.The organiser should take care of participants' health as they might get heat stroke and also should provide more water to the participants.
