Venue: Laguna Phuket
Before we arrived, Phuket was raining non-stop for 72 hours. Luckily on the 9th June it was a sunny hot day. When we arrived at the bib collection tent, workers were busy cleaning and paving the start/finish area as the area was very muddy. The collection process seems to be a bit chaotic as some runners couldn't find their name on the list, but it was later on resolved by issuing manual bib.
Pasta party is compulsory for foreigners and it cost 950 baht (abt RM95) for an additional ticket. Although the party was scheduled from 5:30pm to 9pm, unfortunately most of the food have finished by 7pm and many runners were unable to get any food, especially when the runners are expected to retire early for the marathon happening in the next early morning. The organizer only managed to replenished the food after 8:30pm, but most of the runners have left. Moreover runners have to queue for 45min to get their food. The pasta party were poorly organised.
