Nike We Run KL Expo is from 18 to 21 Dec at Taman Tasik Perdana KL. Those who have registered the run can collect the training tee at the expo. At the same time, University Malaya will showcase their sport science gadgets for runners to get to know their running efficiency scientifically.

Nike motivates and trains athletes through Nike+ running app to achieve their personal best

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, October 9, 2014 - To challenge Malaysian to run faster and further, Nike has returned with Nike We Run KL 21K which will be held on February 1, 2015. It is part on Nike's global We Run series inspiring athletes to achieve their personal best, which began in Prague. Kuala Lumpur is one of 14 cities, and will also mark the first 21K race in Nike Malaysia.

"There is a group of runners who are leading the pack, and embracing running as both a sport and an integral part of their lives. They're also ready for a challenge, and Nike We Run KL 21K will be a platform for them to do just that. In the months leading up to race day, Nike will organize a series of training events beginning in November. Each session will feature runs, Nike Training Club and expert advice.

Registered runners will be invited to the race's pre-expo, where scientific expertise and tools will be on hand to assist runners in developing a training program. Selected runners will be able to participate in scientific tests that help measure and analyse a person's running technique, recovery rate, and VO2 max. Runners will also be able to find footwear appropriate to heir running style, and apparel that will enable them to train and race.

In additional to footwear and appare, Nike helps runners prepare for race day through the more than 30 million strong Nike+ community who have together logged over 1.7 billion km. The Nike+ ecosystem elevates training as an integral part of your race day preparation. Elite runners know that pushing yourself in training is what drives success in actual races.

The new Nike+ running app for iPhone and Android acts as a personal best trainer, with features includes Nike+ Coach, which enables runners to run further, faster and smarter with customized training plans and distance goals.

Registration fees: RM60 - 24 years old and below (Male and Female)
                               RM80 - 25 years old and above (Male and Female)
Runner must be over 16 by December 13, 2014 to participate
5000 slots will be allocated for each category.

15,000 runners all set to take over Kuala Lumpur in Nike's first ever evening run

Press Release Petaling Jaya 5 Oct 2012 - Runners participating in the year's Nike We Run KL can collect their race packs at a small-scale exposition, held at the Piazza, The Curve from 5 - 7 October 2012 between 10 am and 9:30 pm.

During race pack collection, runners can expect a host of activities to engage them into getting ready for the race.

Treadmill Challenge: Runners can take on the Treadmill Challenge and share their Nike Mission achievement via the Nike+ Running application on their personal Facebook and Twitter accounts and connecting with runners around the world. It is also an opportunity to trial one of this season's running shoe, the Nike LunarGlide+4 Shield.

T-shirt Customization: Runners can stand out among the 15.000 participants with t-shirt customization services available during race pack collection day. Runners who have participated and completed Nike+ Missions set on Facebook and Twitter - "Rock your Run", "High Miller" and "The Super Runner" - will earn badges that can be applied onto their race t-shirt. Application of the badge is offered to all registered We Run KL 2012 runners who have participated and completed the Nike Missions.

On race day, runners can expect an entertaining experience pre-race, during the race and post-race.

As runners run through the scenic route set against some of Kuala Lumpur's iconic landmarks, dancers will perform to cheer on and motivate runners along the way to a variety of beats and sounds at various points of the entire route.

At the race village, both participants and public can look forward to a high-energy evening of performances by local artistes such as Mizz Nina, SonaOne, Arbyrd, Altimet, Zel and renowned DJs Blink and Goldfish. Food and beverage will be sold to participants or them to refuel and recharge after the run. There will also be fun photo-booths to take pictures with their friends to mark the memorable evening.

As part of Nike's commitment to developing at the grassroots level in Malaysia, Nike will donate to Dignity for Children to funds the foundation's sport program. It is a non-profit organization that believes quality and holistic education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty.

Nike We Run KL will flag-off at 5:30 pm at Jalan Ampang on 13 Oct 2012, with runners finishing and celebrating at the race village located at Padang Merbok, Kuala Lumpur. This is Nike's first evening run taking place in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.

The 15,000 Malaysian runners will be part of the global We Run race movement that will expect a total of 395,500 runners from 34 cities across the globe running. It will forge a new global community of runners through Nike's most connected race series with innovative Nike+ technology. The We Run race series kicked off on September 1 in Prague, Czech Republic and will conclude on December 15 in Rio de Janiero, Brazil.

 After collecting, runner may proceed to running session, Nike Lunarglide +4 shield shoes will be provided.

 Runner need to run at least 0.15km within one minute on treadmills to earn a badge.
