Penang Earth Hour Foldie Night Ride 2011

In conjunction with Earth Hour, a night ride around Georgetown will be held. Non foldie also welcomed.

World Kidney Day Run 2011 - Top 10 Official Result

Venue: Dataran Merdeka

The response of this event was overwhelming, there are total 2116 runners registered for this race. Unexpected, T-shirt provided is Brooks Dri-fit t-shirt. All categories flag-off at 7:30am sharp as all runners ran same distance 5km, but based on google map, it is around 6.2km.

No surprise, 1st runner arrived at 20min+, Mohamad Affandi from PTITD, he just won as champion at a race a day before at Larian Pantai Bagan Lalang.

Beside racing, there was campaign to educate public how to protect heart and kidney, free health check-up, organ donation, games for kids, face painting etc.
While waiting for VIP to arrive, there was dance performances and many runners danced together and enjoyed themselves. Top 5 winners prize presentation was held after VIP speeches. Not many runners waited for the lucky draw as it would be held only after more performances.

Bakam Challenge 2011

An off-road biathlon of 35km mountain bike leg followed by a 12km train running in the tropical forest under the scorching heat in the heart of Borneo.

Larian Bagan Lalang 2011

Venue: Pantai Bagan Lalang, Selangor

At first we had no clue where the world is Bagan Lalang. Checked the Google map, it is 80km from KL city, near the Palm Tree Resort. Border with N. Sembilan, just 30km from Port Dickson. Today's race, there were about 200+ runners but many of whom are elites. The distance for Men open was 6km, whilst others that include women open, men veteran and women veteran was 3.5km.

Overall it was a well organised event ; started on time at 8am and the prizes presentation was fast and efficient. T-shirt for each category were in different colors and a light breakfast was provided. The event was organised in conjuction with the Pesta Air Selangor at Bagan Lalang. For the race10 cash prizes and are all rounded up with RM5, i.e 555, 455 etc. ...symbolize the 5th annerversery of MP Sepang. Next year they will organise a longer distance event.
