The total number has exceeded our target of getting a minimum of 500 cyclists and maximum of 1000 to ride with the CM. The number would have been a lot higher if we did not put a cap on the registration and unfortunately this unpopular move has to be executed so as not to strain on the budget and safety of this event. The large number of cyclists augur well with our pursue to implement bicycle lanes and dedicated bicycle paths and we hope this will send a clear signal to the government that cyclists need space!!!
