Running Clinic schedule

The Standard Chartered KL Marathon 2011 Running clinics are back! This year, the running clinics include training circuits to help runners prepare themselves to upgrade their distances from 10km to 21km or half marathon and from half marathon to full marathon. The programme also helps runners who wish to achieve better finishing time.
The running clinics and training circuits are free sessions led by Mark Williams, the official running coach of the Standard Chartered KL Marathon 2011 and professional coaches from the Federal Territory Amateur Athlete Association (FTAAA). Mark raced internationally in Hong Kong for many years and once held both the Hong Kong Half Marathon and 15K National Records.

Running clinics are 30 – 45 minute theoretical courses followed by question and answer sessions where participants can get tips and advice from professionals. Participants will receive a training booklet containing useful information such as weekly training regimes, nutrition and hydration, stretching techniques, correct attire, injury prevention and more. The running clinics will then culminate with a 5km fun run where participants can utilise the training log sheets also supplied with their training booklet to track their progress.
