Nike We Run KL 10K 2011 - Top 3 Official Results
Time: 7am
Venue: Padang Merbok, KL
Distance: 10km
It is an excellent idea to have all participants to wear the event t-shirt with pre-printed bib number. As such if you were the lucky one whom managed to register for this Nike We Run KL, you may observed the sea of red at the starting point as well as at Padang Merbok when all runners were back and gathered around to enjoyed the food, entertainment and the Nike photography sessions.
This year, 10,000 participants signed up and grabbed all the slots within 60 hours, it was unbelievable. The event started at 7am sharp and the last runner who crossed the starting line was after 15 minutes. There were still some late arrivals crossing the line after 7:30am, where Kenyan elite runners were almost approaching the finishing line.
The event was well organized, with sufficient water stations, good traffic control, friendly volunteers, awesome entertainment, free banana and ice-cream, smooth prize presentation, last but not least is the cute little memento - 1GB of pen drive in shoe shape. Next year hopefully the organizer will provide more accurate distance markers.
Many runners are already looking forward for Nike We Run KL 2012 and hope to receive more surprises from NIKE.
