Date: 13 Nov 2011
Venue: Seri Manjung, Perak
Time: 7:30am
Distance: 5.5km run, 32km bike, 5km run (for sprint, for full distance x2)
It was a hot hot sunny day and the event started at 7:30am. So those full distance participants whom came back more than 3 hours would be roasted. The event should flag-off one hour earlier.
This year is 10th years Powerman Malaysia anniversary and it was well organized. Water stations were sufficient and most important the traffic was very well control by police. Participants felt safely to cycle in high speed. The cycling route was flat except the third killing bridge which is quite steep, where sprinters need to cycle up two times while full distance participants cycled 4 times. It was a mind killing 'hill'.
It was great that lunch provided to all participants although the quality of the food was not up to expectation. Medal design is normal but the strap is awesome. Next year hope to see the chili shape medal.
