Tower Race a la Amazing Race builds team spirit
BFM-The Intermark Race to the Top 2013 raised more than RM130,000 for 5 charity homes
10 December 2013, Kuala Lumpur - The Intermark has successfully carried out its second charity tower race but this time on a much larger scale, and has made an even grander difference!
A turnout of 465 participants from a wide range of backgrounds and a whopping amount of RM131,637 for charity is evidence that this goal was achieved. All monetary proceeds from sponsors and participants were channeled to five children homes; namely Rumah Jaireh, Rumah Juara, Shelter Home, Special Children Society of Ampang and Yayasan Chow Kit.
“When we started working on this project, all of us set different monetary milestones that we aimed to achieve. The amount that we managed to collect as a whole exceeded all of those amounts. We would like to thank all sponsors and participants who contributed to our success. As the saying goes, ‘the ultimate test of a moral society is the kind of world that it leaves to its children’. We really have set the bar quite high this year and will continue to ‘race to the top’ in all that we do,” said Patrick Liau, Director of The Intermark Sdn Bhd.
The BFM-The Intermark Race to the Top took place on the 7th of December 2013 from 8.00 am onwards, which comprised the Team Event involving a series of fun and challenging activities a la The Amazing Race, a walk hunt at the Intermark Mall and a race to climb up to the 63rd floor of Vista Tower at The Intermark, which has a panoramic view of the Petronas Twin Tower. Also on the day was the Individual Event which purely involved the staircase climb of the 63-storey office tower.

I can gladly say on behalf of the BFM team that we could not have celebrated our 5th year anniversary in a more honourable and memorable manner,” said Malek Ali, Founder of BFM.
