ICE Run 2014 - Top 10 Results

This is a multi-activities charity event incorporating a 10km road race. The 10km looped road race starts and ends at the Lanai, MATIC Ampang.  For today, the best part of the race is the running route.  Well, how often does one get to run about what is usually the busiest part of the city centre along the Golden Triangle, Bukit Bintang, KLCC, and Ampang?  The route is really a treat for many, especially in the early morning without the traffic and the fine weather today.

There was 2 water stations and lots of marshals were manning the junctions along the route. However, it was very competitive race, as there were many African professional runners participated and they even dominated the veteran category!

My GPS reads about 9.3km and it is a relatively flat course. Besides running, there was also other activities like the Go Kart and Bike and auto exhibition.

What was I looking at again? Probably something pretty, but did you notice my new racer? This is a debut appearance by the Mizuno Hitogami. First race with them, and they passed with flying colors.

Media Release : CCAM INTRODUCES “INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE CHARITY RUN 2014 (ICE RUN)”

Kuala Lumpur – The Customer Relationship Management and Contact Centre Association of Malaysia (CCAM) today organized its first International Customer Experience Charity Run 2014 (ICE RUN) at Malaysia Tourism Centre, Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur.

ICE RUN 2014 is organized to encourage members of the CCAM and the public in general to spend their time by engaging in healthy lifestyle activities and at the same time be part of the caring community by helping those who are in need. The 10km charity run was flagged off at the Lanai, Malaysia Tourism Centre (MaTiC), Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur, 7.00 am today. Below are the breakdown of categories for ICE RUN:

A total of 1,500 participants have registered for the run and each participant who manage to complete the run will stand a chance to bring home their own finisher medals. Winners for ICE RUN will be receiving cash prizes worth of RM 20,000 and various prizes contributed by the event sponsors. Below are the breakdown of cash prizes for each participating category:

The charity run is also supported by various partners and sponsors such as the Malaysia Tourism Centre (MaTiC); Country Garden Danga Bay Sdn Bhd; Plantronics; Figos Sdn Bhd; Wawasan Open University; Saloma Bistro & Theatre Restaurant: F & N Beverages Marketing Sdn Bhd; Curves Malaysia and Gardenia.

A portion of the entry fees received will be channeled to the National Cancer Society Malaysia; 100 orphans within the Klang Valley, Sekolah Menengah Perempuan Bandaraya including a special-education class for the disabled from the Batu Road Boys School, Kuala Lumpur.

Apart from the running event, ICE RUN 2014 also features various carnival activities for two days from 22nd to 23rd February 2014 from 9.00 am to 10.00 pm. Variety of activities that will take place over these two days including autoshow; go kart; car boot sale; performing arts; charity bazaar and many more.

CCAM hopes to be able to have the ICE RUN as an annual event in line with its objective to promote the establishment of a healthy lifestyle through sports and fitness activities
