Date: 27 Nov 2016
Distance: 10km, 21km and 42km
This year's run on the bridge is at km18 to km39; the first 18 km is from Queensbay Mall towards factory in Bayan Lepas, U turn and along the highway towards Jelutong and U turn again before heading towards the bridge.
On the bridge, we get to enjoy a later 21km of solitary moment in the quiet, dim lighted bridge. Highlights along the bridge incl lively cheering from the supporters (a big thanks to them for renewing our energy), and that climb on the bridge's cable-stayed at km34.
It was very humid and the endless open road always lure you to go faster. The view on the bridge looks the same forever, and occasionally we get to exchange nodes and waves as we overtook or when we got overtaken.
Due to the change of the course, the traffic for the competitive full marathon runners got very much better as compared to previous years due to the traffic from the half marathon runners.
It was tough due to the humidity but I think everyone I saw did their very best to overcome whatever challenge they were facing yesterday morning. And kudos to the organizer for adjusting the course so that the traffic got so much better for those in competition. It's a fast course if you can overcome the humidity and the mental barriers.
